I would like to see the board work with the county to improve the North Templin Road and the North Templin Lane. Many years ago, there was a sign at the top of the hill which is a school bus turnaround, stating that the lower remaining portion of these roads was private property. These portions of roads are not private property. That sign is no longer there and I have never seen this sign in the past 15 years. I mention this since at one time the county mentioned that the road was private property and therefore is not their responsibility. The county does maintain the road from Upper Patton Park Lake Rd to school bus turn around. Our property taxes are increasing yearly, and I think it is time for the county to take responsibility of these roads.
I would like the board to contact the county to start a conversation in terms of the maintenance of these roads from the school bus turnaround down to the ends of both these streets. Also, the guard rail at the intersection/fork between N. Templin Rd and Lane is long gone. Several times in the past 10 years, there have been many cars stuck in the area with the hazard of possibly falling off the road and into houses below. What is left of past guard rail is still there. This intersection is also plagued with deep trenches in the gravel road.
